SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 06/17/2017, at approximately 0944 hours, the Williston State Police were traveling southbound on Route 2A in the Town of Williston when they observed a tan Audi A4 traveling northbound Route 2A in the Town of Williston. The State Police stopped the above described vehicle and attempted to identified the operator and passenger. Both the operator and passenger provided false names but were eventually identified as two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, that had run away from DCF custody.

 

The vehicle they were operating was found to be stolen out of Milton, VT. During the course of the investigation, the State Police found that the vehicle was also involved in a gas drive-off in the Town of Richford. Further investigation showed, the juvenile had recently stolen items from Walmart in Williston prior to being stopped. Both males were taken into custody for several offense including Aggravated Operating without Owners Consent, Providing False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer, Retail Theft, and being in Possession of Stolen Property.

 

Both juveniles were subsequently lodged at the Woodside Juvenile Center and cited into Chittenden County Family Court on 06/19/2017 at 0130 hours.
