Shaftsbury Barracks/Saturation Patrol

SATURATION PATROL

 

On 8-11-17, during the evening hours troopers from the Shaftsbury barracks conducted a saturation patrol on US RT 7 between Manchester and Bennington as well as VT RT 313 in Sunderland VT.  The purpose of this patrol was to focus on aggressive driving, enforcement of  mobile device violations, unsafe driving and to ensure seatbelt use. A total of 17 vehicles were stopped for violations. 

 

The majority of violations issued were for speeding and defective equipment.  One arrest for Driving While Suspended was made during this patrol.  The Troopers of the Shaftsbury Barracks will continue high visibility patrols in an effort to reduce highway crashes.
